If you're after a new, feel-good dating show to get stuck into, then you need to watch My Mum, Your Dad. The ITV series, hosted by Davina McCall, follows a group of single parents looking for love with their children left in charge of their dating decisions.
The series, dubbed 'the middle-aged Love Island', kicks off on 11th September, but will there be a second season of the dating show? Here's everything we know about My Mum, Your Dad season two.
What is My Mum, Your Dad about?
The dating series, sees single parents looking for love move into a countryside resort where they get to know other single parents, but, their grown up children will also play a part in setting up mum or dad.
The official synopsis reads, "My Mum, Your Dad follows a group of single parents who have been nominated by their grown-up kids for a second chance at love... Audiences will be able to follow the single parents, from all over the UK, and all walks of life, as they live together at a stunning country house retreat with one objective: to find true love.
"But there’s a twist - unbeknownst to the parents, their kids will be watching their every move from a nearby location called ‘The Bunker’. It is there in the surveillance room that they’ll be able to witness all the action of their parents’ journeys to find love, plus get the opportunity to play matchmaker and decide their mum or dad’s dating fate." Can't wait!
Will there be a My Mum, Your Dad season 2?
The first series airs on ITV1 from 11th September, and we don't know if there'll be a second season yet!
We think it will depend on how much viewers like the first series, so watch this space for updates about a second season 👀
Who will be the cast of My Mum, Your Dad season 2?
The series sees a group of single parents move into a luxury, countryside location to see if they can find a connection, so we would expect a brand new cast in season two.
But, we would hope that Davina McCall would return to host! On joining the series for season one, she said: "I’m so so excited to host My Mum, Your Dad. This show will have you so invested in the people in it.
"Fascinating, vibrant individuals who have lived incredible lives already, with a million life lessons under their belts, as they search for their perfect life partner. But also with the juiciest twist of any show I’ve ever worked on." Oh, Davina, what an icon you are.
