Model Heather McCartney 'shocked' to find out she is six months pregnant
The glamour model who infamously stripped naked at an AFL grand final in 2014 has announced she is pregnant with a baby girl.
Heather McCartney, 27, is a former Playboy model who made headlines with her scandalous display in the corporate box at the MCG.
The blonde beauty found out she was expecting during a cancer check-up with her doctor and said she was “shocked” to find out that she was already six months pregnant.
"I burst out laughing at first - in shock but also thinking 'phew', I thought something really bad was going on inside," she told Yahoo!7.
"Never did I ever imagine my body was capable so soon of creating life. I remember thinking this must mean I am cured! Completely healed and strong enough to carry a living baby inside of me."
The Scottish-born Gold Coast model was told she only had weeks to live, after she was diagnosed with sever aplastic amenia in February 2014.
After all the medical treatments her body has braved over the past two years, Ms McCartney thought her chances at falling pregnant would be slim.
"I knew having a stem cell transplant was major but it really is incredible how it restarts your body back to the beginning," she said.
Now, with only three months to prepare for the birth of their miracle baby, Ms McCartney and her husband are busy preparing for their new arrival.
"Now that the initial shock has worn off I am in half panic mode," she said.
"I have never even held a baby or hung out with any. I wouldn't even know what to talk about. I don't do boring so a baby will keep me entertained now which is just what I need. No more crazy lifestyle for a while."
Ms McCartney was excited to announce she is expecting a baby girl.
