Missing boy found after plea from cops

A nine-year-old boy who went missing after he failed to show up to school has been located, police have confirmed.

The child – Paul Sanders – was reported missing after he failed to arrive at school, with officers from the Bankstown Police Area Command notified of his absence.

At the time, Paul was last seen at Gibson Parade, Padstow about 8.50am on Friday wearing his a blue school polo shirt and grey school shorts.

Police have since confirmed the child had been safely located in Padstow shortly after 10am.

In a statement shared just before 1pm, NSW Police thanked the public and media for their assistance.
