Under the re-brand, sports will remain a major component of MTP’s content expansion, and has allowed Tollin to bring on new talent and reorganize the company structure. Jonathan Vogler has been elevated to President of Unscripted Productions and Ricky Cruz has been brought on as VP/Development. On the scripted side, Harry Wood is now VP Development and Sarah Alammuri has joined as Director/Development. Steve Tollin remains Director of Finance.

“I love the new team,” said Tollin. “They’re passionate and scrappy. Sports will continue to be our main lane, but we’ll follow the side streets as often as possible to tell stories with pro-social content.”

Tollin’s docuseries Justice, USA takes a comprehensive insider 360-degree view of the criminal justice system.  MTP produced the series with Common for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. Marshall Goldberg, Randy Ferrell, and Tamara Brown executive produced with Tollin and Common.

“It was great working with Mike and his team on this series,” said Common. “I’m proud we were able to show the unvarnished truth of what it’s like to go through the criminal justice system. I look forward to doing more projects with Mike that carry the spirit of humanity and progress under his new company.”

Tina Perry, President of OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network said she has “admired Mike and his work for many years,” adding “Justice, USA was one of those perfect collaborations and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”

Tollin executive produced the Emmy-winning The Last Dance series on Michael Jordan and the Bulls dynasty; along with Emmy-winning The Redeem Team, Oscar-nominated Hank Aaron: Chasing the Dream, as well as The Captain series on Derek Jeter. He was one of the original producers of the landmark 30 for 30 series for ESPN. In scripted TV, his series include Arli$$, Smallville, and One Tree Hill. In feature films, he directed Radio and Summer Catch and his producing credits include Varsity Blues, Coach Carter, Hardball, Dreamer and Wild Hogs.
