Meghan and Harry's staff 'making catty comments' about their relationship

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex delight crowds wherever they go, but it seems that things might not be as rosy behind the scenes.

According to reports, a source has claimed that some members of Harry and Meghan‘s staff “make catty comments” about them.

While they only tied the knot in May and are expecting their first child together in April, some in the royal marriage are doubtful their relationship will last the test of time.

So much so, staff are reportedly “giving it five years” before they split.

There have also been claims some palace staff are displaying “anti-Americanism” towards the new Duchess, amid a “culture clash” in the royal household.

“I think what we’ve seen is a clash of cultures rather than a serious falling out between anyone,” an alleged source told The Telegraph UK.

“You have to remember that when people join the royal household, they ultimately expect to be serving Queen and country, not necessarily an American actress who has starred in a legal drama on the telly.”

The reports about their staff’s comments come after Meghan’s female bodyguard is said to be leaving the role after six months.

If so, it would make it the third resignation from the couple’s team, after the Duchess’ personal assistant Melissa Touabti departed her post after six months last year and the resignation of private secretary Samantha Cohen.

However, Yahoo UK understands the resignation was not out of the blue.

Australian-born Cohen, who previously worked for the Queen, handed in her notice after Her Majesty’s private secretary Christopher Geidt was ousted from his role. She agreed to stay as interim private secretary to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Kensington Palace to help Meghan adjust to royal life.
