Who we are
Masterclasses from the Evening Standard are operated on behalf of the [Evening Standard by MDMB Creative Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales company number 15187450 whose registered address is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JG ( henceforth referred to as “MDMB”, “us” or “we”). About Masterclasses from the Evening Standard
Masterclasses from the Evening Standard is our inspiring range of practical expert-led classes, workshops and courses. Our masterclasses take place online or in-person as advertised.
Participants must be 18 or older.
When you submit a booking for a Masterclasses from the Evening Standard event, you are applying to attend that event. We will accept your booking when we send an email with written confirmation. MDMB and the Evening Standard reserve the right to refuse an application to attend.
Please ensure that you provide us with a valid email address at the time of booking and that you read all communications from us relating to your class. Our emails will contain important logistical information and information designed to help you get the most out of your class.
Please ensure that you arrive promptly for your class for in-person events.
For online events, please ensure that you login promptly. We advise you to check your links and your internet connection in advance and that you have all the software and technical standards needed to join the event. Further details around such requirements can be found on our FAQs page here.
We reserve the right to ask you to leave an event if we deem your conduct unreasonable.
By participating in this event, attendees agree not to share any event-related links or materials with third parties
For in-person events, we may occasionally have to change a masterclass venue or make minor changes to event timings.
The unauthorised use of cameras or recording devices at Masterclasses from the Evening Standard events is not allowed. Making video or audio recordings, or using photos, clips, or screenshots for commercial purposes is prohibited unless MDMB expressly permits. Materials distributed by MDMB for Masterclasses from the Evening Standard cannot be reproduced without written permission. If you have any questions about the use of photographic or recording equipment, please contact MDMB for clarification.
Payments, refunds and cancellation
Full payment in advance is required to secure your place.
Payment for Masterclasses from the Evening Standard events can only be made with a credit or debit card. Cash, cheques, and payment via invoice are not accepted. You can find the fees for each event on the Standard.co.uk website and the booking page. Prices displayed include VAT. Our prices may change, but any changes will not impact confirmed bookings.
You do not benefit from a legal cooling off period
We can only issue refunds where there is a material change to an event.
On the rare occasions that we have to cancel or reschedule an event we will not be liable for any additional costs incurred such as transport.
Feedback and complaints
In case of a complaint, please email us at masterclasses.support@standard.co.uk within 7 days of the event ending. Your complaint will be taken seriously and responded to as quickly as possible and within 28 days.
Liability
Nothing excludes or limits MDMB’s liability for personal injury or death due to its negligence. You have certain rights under the law. For example, we will provide the Masterclasses from the Evening Standard events with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms will affect these rights.
MDMB cannot be liable for your personal possessions. This is unless we cause their loss or damage due to our negligence. We are not responsible: (i) for losses not caused by our breach; (ii) indirect losses (these are losses you incur as a side effect of the main loss or damage); (iii) if we failed to meet our obligations due to events beyond our control;. (iv) losses caused by a third-party platform. Your use of any such platform is at your own risk and may be subject to the third party’s terms; or (v) any loss or damage resulting from your breach of these terms or your negligence.
MDMB’s liability to you is limited to the fees you paid for the relevant Masterclasses from the Evening Standard event.

We record all our online masterclasses unless otherwise stated. If you choose to join a Masterclasses from the Evening Standard event, you agree to be recorded, although there is no obligation to share your video/audio during an event and you have the right to remain anonymous.
General
These terms and conditions are a contract between you and us. No other person shall have any right to enforce any of the terms.
Each of the paragraphs of these terms and conditions operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
We may change our terms and conditions. For example, to reflect changes in laws or rules. Or to reflect improvements we make to our services.
This agreement shall be governed by English law. The parties agree that English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over it.
