Manhunt after 10-year-old girl sexually assaulted in public toilets
There are hopes CCTV of a 10-year-old girl on a bicycle might lead police to finding a suspect in an alleged sex attack.
The girl was at a reserve at Blair Athol, in Adelaide’s north, on Wednesday last week between 5 and 5.30pm when she was allegedly sexually assaulted in public toilets by a man.
The man is described as Afghan, about 30 to 50 years old with dark hair and a fringe that partially covered his forehead.
He was believed to be wearing a grey top, peach shorts and in company with two girls aged between 3 and 5.
A computer-generated image of a man police believe might be able to help with their enquiries has also been released.
South Australia Police also shared video of the girl riding her bike in the area hoping members of the public who saw anyone acting suspicious in the area might come forward.
Police hope the video might help members of the public recall her or the suspect.
It is believed other people were present at the reserve, which forms part of a sports club, during the period the incident occurred.
Anyone with information on the incident or who was in the area of the Blair Athol reserve last Wednesday afternoon or evening on April 3 is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the online reporting page.
