A man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed five times in the chest and neck at a family barbecue in Sydney’s southwest.
The barbecue at Canley Heights turned nasty on Sunday about 3.30am after a 29-year-old man was stabbed.
NSW Police Inspector Adam Bird said the man was involved in an argument with “an unknown male”.
Police will allege the second man stabbed the 29-year-old a number of times before running away.
The victim was taken to hospital in a serious condition. He’s currently stable.
Concerned residents claim the people living in the home have a number of issues, with one claiming they fight, scream and “physically try to hurt each other”.
A 25-year-old Melbourne man is being interviewed by police after he was arrested at unit block in nearby Carramar on Sunday afternoon.
