Man scales mall roof and jumps onto huge spheres to dance


Police are investigating after footage emerged online showing a “reckless” reveller leaping from a building in Adelaide’s Rundle Mall and onto an iconic structure.

The clip which was uploaded to Instagram overnight shows a man, whose behaviour have been described as “dangerous” by authorities, hop onto a glass awning of the Adelaide Central Plaza.

He is then seen dashing along the glass, before leaping onto the Mall’s Balls, which consists of two large stainless steel spheres which stand about four metres tall.

A police spokesperson said, “Police are aware of the video on social media and are investigating.

“The man’s actions are dangerous and reckless with potential to cause serious injury to himself or others.”

According to the mall’s website the structure is officially known officially as ‘The Spheres’ and it is a common meeting spot.

The original video was shared by a popular account about the city and has since been viewed more than 54,000 times.
