Man on the run after assaulting 12-year-old girl
Police are investigating after a 12-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted in her Melbourne home.
The suspect, believed to be of African appearance, remains on the run after he allegedly assaulted the girl before fleeing on a scooter on Monday.
It’s believed the man entered a home on Mary Street, Footscray sometime after 9pm when he was disturbed by the girl.
“The girl didn’t sustain any injuries and no arrests have yet been made,” a police spokesperson said.
“The investigation is ongoing.”
