Man’s nightmare in alleged kidnapping
Three men and a woman have been arrested following an alleged kidnapping where a man was seriously injured during the ordeal.
NSW detectives were first alerted to the alleged kidnapping of a 33-year-old man in Sydney’s west on Friday.
Following inquiries, police raided a home on Webb St, North Parramatta, about 9.40pm on Saturday.
During the operation, police found the man, who officers will allege was being held against his will, inside the property.
Paramedics treated him at the scene for serious facial, body and leg injuries before taking him to hospital in a serious condition.
Police arrested two men aged 40 and 44 and a 38-year-old woman at the home.
All three were charged with take or detain in company with intent to get advantage occasioning actual bodily harm and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The 44-year-old man was formally refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court on May 2.
The 40-year-old and the 38-year-old woman were formally refused bail to appear before the same court on February 28.
Police seized drugs, ammunition, electronic devices and items believed to have been used in the alleged kidnapping during a search of the property.
Following further inquiries, specialist police arrested a 20-year-old man at a unit complex in Lidcombe about 1am on Monday.
He was charged with take or detain in company with intent to get advantage occasioning actual bodily harm and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The man was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on Monday.
