Man is turned away from his flight for wearing all of his clothes

An airline passenger has been refused travel because he was wearing all of his baggage – including 10 shirts.

Ryan Williams was booted off a British Airways flight on January 10 at Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport and then arrested for wearing eight pairs of pants and 10 shirts to avoid an excess luggage fee of $125, The Iceland Monitor reports.

Mr Williams claims a British Airways agent told him he could board the flight if he wore all his clothes at once but later stopped him from boarding.

It’s alleged he was also rude and rowdy.

A day later he was also denied boarding by Easyjet because of the incident.

But Mr Williams said the reason he wasn’t allowed to board the plane was because of “racial prejudice” and his “dreadlocks”, “flashy clothes” and “nail polish”.

He also claimed he wasn’t evading the baggage fee but couldn’t afford it, “as a result of being left in Iceland for over a week”.

In a statement to the Iceland Monitor, British Airways said it explained the policy to Mr Williams and arranged an alternative flight for him after he wouldn’t pay for an extra bag.

Mr Williams has since found an airline – Norwegian Air - to fly him back to England.
