Man gets naked on plane, now faces up to 20 years behind bars

A man who got naked on a plane during an alleged violent rampage is reportedly facing up to 20 years behind bars if convicted.

British man Oliver Charles Halliday Gee was arrested last week on a flight from Cancun, Mexico bound for Frankfurt, Germany.

Witnesses say the 34-year-old exposed his genitals and made threats to a number of passengers, including a three-year-old child, when told he could not urinate in the cabin.

It is further alleged Gee slapped flight attendants who tried to assist him to the toilet, before the decision was made to divert the flight to Jacksonville, Florida.

“He got up, took off his t-shirt and his pants, and kept shouting 'I prefer drugs to alcohol’,” one witness told media.

According to court documents, Gee was dubbed a “problem passenger” less than an hour into the flight when he demanded to be served alcohol.

Just 30 minutes later, the 34-year-old, who now lives in Mexico, allegedly threatened another man onboard by telling him he had people in Mexico “who would kill” for him.

“A crew member and passenger helped restrain him, attempting to escort the man to the lavatory. He allegedly slapped the crew member and assisting passenger twice each,” the federal indictment says.

The FBI met the Condor flight on the Florida runway where Gee was arrested.

He appeared in court this week, reportedly charged with assaulting or intimidating a flight crew.
