Man filmed using toddler to steal toys from claw skill-tester game

Police have released video showing a man using a toddler to steal prizes out of a shopping centre “claw” skill-tester game.

Several witnesses recorded video of the crime at a US shopping mall on Friday evening, which the Salem NH Police Department later shared in a bid to identify the man involved.

The man had the small girl climb into the bottom of the Key Master machine, where prizes are dropped for winners, police said.

The child was tasked to reach up and grab various items and hand them to the man.

The clip shows a man retrieving items from the bottom of the skill tester machine, as an excited little boy watches on.

It was pixelated to protect the identity of the children, however the clip appears to show a small child’s head emerge from the prize window.

Police say the man then left the area of the shopping centre at Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire, with the children and stolen items.

It wasn’t clear what the items were, but such games often offer valuable electronics and gift cards.
