Man feared dead after shark attack on Aussie beach
The 46-year-old was surfing when he was atacked.
A 46-year-old man is believed to have died after being mauled by a shark on Saturday morning, with police and rescue teams still searching for his body.
Emergency services rushed to Elliston, on South Australia’s west coast, at about 10.10am after witnesses reported the incident which occurred an estimated 30 to 50 metres offshore, according to reports.
The man was surfing at Walkers Rock when he was attacked, and is now missing SA Police confirmed. Eight hours into the search, emergency services reportedly recovered the man's board, but there's still no sign of the surfer.

The South Australian Ambulance Service said there are currently helicopters and boats searching the waters near Elliston on the Eyre Peninsula. More than half a dozen boats, as well as jet skis, are being used to search the waters where he was last seen, as locals join in on the search.
Elliston is located about 650km from Adelaide, and is a spot loved by tourists for its pristine beaches. Streaky Bay SES unit manager Trevlyn Smith said there were as many as 16 people in the area at the time of the attack.
"There were obviously several people in the water and from what I can hear there were witnesses that saw evidence of the attack," he told the ABC. "It was fairly close to the shore I believe."
The missing man, who is yet. to be identified was reportedly "well known" in the community. Locals are in "absolute shock and dismay" said Mr Smith.
