A young man has died in a horror alleged stabbing attack on Tuesday morning, just weeks after a real estate agent was allegedly stabbed to death in the same city in broad daylight.

Emergency services raced to the Henry St address at Paralowie, in Adelaide’s outer north, just before 7am on reports a person had been stabbed.

A 23-year-old man from the address suffered critical injuries from the incident and paramedics took him to Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Police arrested a 27-year-old man about 9.45am over the alleged attack and he is “assisting police” with their inquiries.

“Police are not looking for anyone else in association with this offence at this time,” SAPOL Northern District Superintendent Julie Thomas said on Tuesday morning.

The suspect and the victim were known to each other, police said, and there were other people at the home at the time of the alleged fracas.

Superintendent Thomas also said one of the occupants of the address called emergency services.

A motive for the alleged attack and the exact cause of death are still under investigation.

“Forensic response is still assessing the scene,” she said.

It’s expected the 27-year-old man will be charged with murder.

The death follows the brutal alleged daylight stabbing murder of real estate agent Julie Seed in the suburb of Plympton.

Police arrested Shaun Michaels Dunk, 30, at the scene following the alleged incident and he has since been charged with murder and attempted murder.

Police also allege Mr Dunk attacked Susan Scardajno, who suffered serious injuries.
