A man has died in hospital three days after he was stabbed in a brawl involving six people after an alleged armed robbery at a home in Wollongong.

The 31-year-old man suffered serious stab wounds to his arms and was rushed to Wollongong Hospital in a critical condition following the fight in the suburb of Mangerton on Monday afternoon.

He died in hospital on Wednesday as a result of his injuries, NSW Police said.

Three men have now been charged over the brawl, including a 29-year-old who was also seriously injured in the fight on Myuna Way.

The 29-year-old, who has been released from hospital, has been charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon.

On Tuesday, a 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with affray and malicious wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He remains in remand and will appear before Wollongong Local Court in June.

Following further inquiries, a 37-year-old man was arrested by investigators at a Mangerton home on Thursday and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, affray, and robbery armed with offensive weapon.

The man was refused bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court.

Police have established Strike Force Fetherstone to investigate the incident.
