Man cops want to speak to after sex assault

assault in South Yarra last month. Investigators have been told the offender

exposed himself to her about 2pm on 1 April. He then followed the woman to
another floor and sexually assaulted her. The offender then fled the scene on foot — Police want to speak to this man, seen in the Melbourne suburb of South Yarra on April 1.

Melbourne police are searching for a man they say can help with their inquiries after an elderly woman was sexually assaulted.

The incident happened on Simmons St in South Yarra on April 1.

Police released images of the man they want to speak to on Wednesday morning.

Police say about 2pm a man waited for the elderly woman to enter a lift before he exposed himself to her.

The man who police say can help with their inquiries is of Asian appearance, in his mid-20s and about 180cm tall.

The man has short shaved black hair, unkempt facial hair and was wearing a black Jordan hoodie, with black pants and sneakers.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers or make a confidential report.
