Man chases down intruder with didgeridoo wearing just his boxers

A father-of-12 has earned a legion of fans after news of him chasing down an intruder wearing just underwear and wielding a didgeridoo went viral.

Kym Abrook was awoken about 4am Monday to the sound of someone in his Adelaide home and without a second thought, he gave chase, Nine News reported.

After noticing a man making a run for it, he shouted to his neighbours and called on them to help catch him.

"I was gaining on him, and knew he wasn't going far so got the boys to cordon off the area," Mr Albrook said.

"Me out there in all my glory - I did notice I run faster naked."

After feeling comfortable the intruder had been trapped, he quickly nipped home and picked up his prized didgeridoo before running back to the scene.

Speaking with reporters on Monday, he said he intended on playing “a couple of quick tunes” when he returned his instrument.
