A 41-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with first-degree murder in the 2020 homicide of Eagleson Thomas.

Police laid the charge against Jordan Rodney Gamble on Wednesday. He appeared in Saskatoon provincial court on Thursday and was remanded until his next court appearance on June 10.

Police also arrested a 27-year-old woman in Edmonton in late May and charged her with accessory after the fact to murder.

Thomas was last seen in Saskatoon on Aug. 14, 2020. He was reported missing on Sept. 10, police said in a news release.

Thomas's family taped missing person posters on poles through the neighbourhoods around St. Paul's Hospital and south toward the river, as these were areas he was known to hang out.

Days after reporting Thomas missing, his family got a tip to check out the shuttered houses on Avenue G South.

His remains were found in a basement.
