Man, 29, charged over alleged sexual assault of young girl

A young girl has allegedly been sexually assaulted by a man who was staying next door to her family’s home in a West Australian suburb.

The accused, a 29-year-old man, was temporarily staying at a neighbouring property to the girl when he allegedly broke into her home, south of Perth, and assaulted her on Saturday morning, police said.

While the age of the child has not been released, police have confirmed she was under the age of 13.
