Dash cam footage shows an attempted road rage incident gone wrong, when a driver knocks himself over with his own car while confronting another motorist.
The video shows a Honda stopped at an intersection, blocking the car behind, before the driver honks its horn impatiently, in Malabar, NSW.
The Honda driver gets out to confront the person behind but doesn’t get far with the handbrake off as his vehicle rolls back before crashing into the car behind him.
With the driver’s side door still open the man falls backwards with one of his thongs flying off, in the video uploaded to Dash Cam Owners Australia Facebook page.
When the driver manages to stumble up from the ground, he confronts the other driver while a woman in the rear car asks if he is ok.
But he responds telling the other driver it was his fault his car was hit, unaware the whole incident was captured on dash cam.
“You caused that,” the driver in the front vehicle yells out.
“Mate, put it in park, it's still in reverse,” the second driver yells at him, following some colourful language.
The post was captioned saying the motorist in the car behind couldn’t just go around the other car because there were double white lines on the road, with a blind corner ahead, and it would have been illegal to cross them.
The man, identified only as Sean, said he was waiting for his insurance claim to go through before he shared the video online, which was date-stamped 17 September, “in case the guy disputed”.
The video had been viewed almost 240,000 times in the first five hours of being shared.
