An Easter staple for many Australian households has been transformed, in what Lindt Australia is describing as a “contemporary twist” on a timeless treat.

The infamous Lindt Gold Bunny is now available as a chocolate block and will keep to the same recipe that Aussies know and love to maintain its signature velvety texture.

Lindt Master Chocolatier Thomas Schnetzler said he is delighted that fans of the chocolate treat can now find a new way of celebrating Easter.

“This wonderfully convenient new format of a familiar and loved Easter favourite is simply perfect whether you’re sharing with family and friends or savouring a moment of indulgence for yourself,” Mr Schnetzler said.

“Since 1952, the Lindt Gold Bunny has been synonymous with premium quality, expertly crafted chocolate, and the sheer delight of making people happy at Easter.

“Now, with the introduction of the Lindt Gold Bunny Block, we’re taking the Easter experience to a whole new level.

“Experience the same premium, velvet, full cream milk flavours with notes of honey, malt and caramel but in a brand-new format, perfect for creating unforgettable moments.”

The Gold Bunny Block has already landed on the shelves of major retailers such as Coles, Big W, Kmart, Target, David Jones and other independent retailers and is available for $7.

The Easter icon was first created in 1952 and quickly became a popular treat with the company, who now sells more than 210 million bunnies across the world every Easter.
