MAFS' Olivia Frazer reveals real reason she's leaving Australia forever

EXCLUSIVE: The season nine bride spills on her recent move overseas.

Olivia Frazer has become the latest Married At First Sight star to say goodbye to Australia and relocate overseas after finding fame Down Under.

The 30-year-old, who is currently travelling with her friends, announced earlier this month she has relocated to Scotland “indefinitely” - with her only plans to return so she can begin the process of taking her puppy Stella with her.

It comes after Jessika Power relocated to the UK in 2021, Tamara Joy moved to London shortly after, and Jules Robinson shared her plans to take her family to the English capital.

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle, Olivia explained there was one main reason behind her move: to escape her reputation and move on from MAFS.

“There's a lot more work opportunities [overseas] and the people are more forgiving,” she said. “It’s easier to move on whereas in Australia people hold you to your edit forever.”

Similarly, Jessika Power initially said she moved to Manchester to find more work as a reality television personality and ended up landing a spot on Celebs Go Dating within weeks.

She then remained there after falling in love with podcaster Connor Thompson and despite the pair now having split, Yahoo Lifestyle understands she will be remaining in Manchester for the foreseeable future.

Earlier this year, Jules Robinson told Stellar she would “definitely” move to the UK with her family “if the right opportunity arose”.

MAFS aired in the UK, where it was extremely popular, and I’ve already extended work opportunities there,” she said. “I’ve been in talks with some UK TV stations as presenting is something I’d like to explore.”

Tamara Joy, who starred alongside Jessika and Jules on season six, swapped Melbourne for London during the pandemic after being granted a special work visa.

“I applied for an exemption as you can't get past the Australian borders without an exemption to leave, and it was granted quite quickly,” she said at the time. “What also helped was the fact I have no intention to return to Australia anytime soon and it's at my own risk.”

Shortly after landing she signed with top media agency Unleashed PR, who describe Tamara as “one of the go-to fashion and lifestyle influencers”, and she now splits her time between Melbourne and London.
