One lucky Aussie became an instant multi-millionaire on the weekend taking home a whopping $2.6m Keno win.

The Sydney man from Toongabbie plans to buy a new home for his family with the huge cash prize that was drawn on Saturday.

It was the second time the Toongabbie man had won big in Keno, taking him $10,000 about 20 years ago.

“The first ticket I put on, I won a little bit, so I just decided to play a few more games,” he said.

“It worked out quite well for me.

“Almost twenty years ago, I won $10,000 on Keno which was great at the time, but nothing compares to this.

“It’s funny, my wife is more excited than I am. I think we’ll look to move eventually and buy a nice house.

“I had a couple of celebratory beers last night and now I’ll just wait for the win to sink in.”

Grateful for his win, the man said the prize money would provide a bit of a change for his family.

The man purchased his winning entry in the Keno Classic at the Toongabbie Sports Club.

Last year, Keno players in Australia took home more than $1b, of those 21 became instant millionaires sharing more than $50m in prize money.
