Luckiest lotto suburbs revealed
The luckiest states and suburbs for lottery wins have been revealed as thousands of Australians eagerly await the next multimillion-dollar draw.
Six lucky Australians have pocketed a combined $93 million from Oz Lotto draws in 2023 so far.
Victoria is the luckiest of all the states with two of those wins by its residents.
Victorians have been the luckiest for six years running, with 153 division one wins worth $467 million.
NSW, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia have also had a division one winner each this year.
New South Wales and the ACT were not too far behind with 141 division one wins collecting $464.8 million in prize money.
There are also some suburbs across the country that are more lucky than others.
Frankston in Melbourne’s south east had four division one winning entries while Port Macquarie in northern NSW has three.
In Queensland, Bundaberg and Rural View on the state’s mid coast also sold three division one entries.
Adelaideans are also lucky, with three division one entry’s also sold in the South Australian capital.
Oz Lotto’s draw 1525 which is worth a whopping $20 million will be announced on Tuesday after entries close at 7.30pm AEST.
“Oz Lotto’s $20 million jackpot is now the largest offering of any Australian lottery game. Will we see another Oz Lotto multi-millionaire created this week or will the Oz Lotto jackpot soar higher for next week? Only time will tell,” The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said.
“As we head into the winter months, any Oz Lotto division one winner could chase an endless summer, fire up the barbecue at their new house or feel a warm glow by sharing with family and friends.
“Our advice to anyone grabbing an entry is to register your entry to an online account or player card so we can contact you if you win big.
The previous draw saw no division one winner which has led to the huge jackpot which could find a winner on Tuesday.
