The 52-year-old, who is married to Rod Stewart, had been a regular on the chat show since 2014, but she is no longer featured on the programme’s official cast list.
Talking about the reports, a source told The Sun: “Penny enjoyed doing the show but it requires a lengthy commitment from regular panel members and this is something Penny cannot do.
“She’s touring with Rod and also has family commitments both in the UK and abroad. She could still make a guest appearance.”
While Lancaster’s leaving, a lot of the faces the audiences are familiar with will continue to carry Loose Women.
Is Coleen Nolan leaving Loose Women?
In July, the 58-year-old TV personality revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
Talking about it on the show, Nolan said that it was one of her sisters who pointed out a part of her skin that was a “bit red” which prompted her to go to her doctor.
During her examinations, the medical professionals discovered that the patch of skin was the common skin cancer basal cell carcinoma.
She explained: “I went back in and he was very good and he said, ‘Look, it’s nothing to worry about. It is actually a cancer that doesn’t necessarily spread, but you do need to treat it and we’ll try it with cream and then the chemo cream and then if that doesn’t work, we’ll cut it out and give you a skin graft’.
“My first instinct, typical me, was to laugh hysterically because I just thought that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard anybody say.”
However, thus far, Nolan hasn’t made any announcements about intending to leave the show during her treatment period.
