KFC reveals $900 New Year's Eve dinner with a view
The finger-licking menu has a whopping price tag.
A fast food chain has unveiled a VIP New Year's Eve experience costing revellers nearly $1,000. The KFC restaurant in Dubai features the classic chicken menu along with views of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, all for the modest price of AU$900.
With prices ranging from AU$600 to $900 per person, the meal includes 12 pieces of chicken, six wings, a twister and zinger burger, popcorn, family fries, cheesecake and free-flowing drinks.
Cost isn't out of place in affluent city
Although expensive, the price of the special meal isn't out of place in Dubai, in the UAE, with VIPs dining with a stunning view of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.
Shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, by Carla, her 283,600 followers jumped at the chance to dine in style with a bucket of finger-lickin' chicken. Expressing Carla shock at the price, many echoed her dismay.
Reaction to price tag
"If that price is KFC, I don't want to see how much dinner will be at a good restaurant,” said one person. "Tap water seems like a good option,” said another, "How to say that you are in Dubai, without saying that you are in Dubai," wrote Fabiola.
