Leyton Orient have confirmed that the West Stand at Brisbane Road will be renamed 'The Justin Edinburgh Stand' in memory of their former manager who passed away last June.

The stand will be renamed before Saturday's League Two contest against Newport County, with Edinburgh's wife Kerri and children Charlie and Cydnie in attendance.

Edinburgh also managed Newport for four years between 2011-15, guiding the Welsh club to promotion back to the Football League after an absence of 25 years.

“It is with enormous pride and excitement that on Saturday we will be attending Leyton Orient v Newport County for the official unveiling of The Justin Edinburgh Stand," said Kerri Edinburgh.

“Over the past months we can’t thank Leyton Orient enough for their continued support to us all. We’ll be forever grateful for that and know why Justin loved this club and the people involved with it so much."

Charlie Edinburgh added on Twitter: "Just when I thought I couldn’t be any prouder of everything my hero achieved, a stand rightly named after him at a club @leytonorientfc which means so much to him and my family.

"A heartfelt tribute to my amazing Dad. Still making me proud in the sky."
