'I just fantasised': Serial stalker's creepy voicemails revealed

Police have released chilling voicemails left by a serial stalker who is also sending victims sexually explicit letters.

Victoria Police are investigating a number of phone calls and letters in the Coburg, Torquay and Essendon areas in Melbourne.

A man has been making the inappropriate phone calls to female members working at the same businesses.

Since police appealed for information about the serial stalker in July, investigators believe the man left more messages and sent a number of other letters.

In one of the voicemails left by the man he says: “I just rang to apologise, I sent a terrible letter to you people and I’m deeply ashamed of it … I sent it last week … I assume I got the right address.”

“I just fantasised about you girls doing massage, I just was stupid and terribly sorry if I caused you any concern. You won’t hear from me again. Have a nice day.”

In another voicemail the man asks a woman if she received a recent letter he wrote and if she would like photos.

“I’ll ring you back another time,” he said.

Police are hoping somebody recognises the man’s voice. In July police appealed to find a man in relation to a series of sexually explicit letters and inappropriate phone calls to female staff at a number of Victorian businesses.

At least four women have received the ‘creepy’ letters and phone calls. The man has anonymously handwritten about 12 inappropriate, 10-page letters for the victims.

The calls are believed to have been made from pay phones in the Melbourne and Surf Coast areas.

Police previously released CCTV of a man they believe can help with enquiries.

He is described as a fit Caucasian, aged between 40 and 60 with white hair.

“We are concerned that the individual isn’t ceasing his behaviour and there’s obviously quite a lot of anxiety in the victims,” Detective Senior Constable Paul Woods said in July.
