Jay Z, Alicia Keys and Mercedes-Benz to collaborate on first Moncler Genius London Fashion Week show
Moncler Genius, the luxury brand’s co-creation initiative, has announced its first London Fashion Week show.
Taking place at 8pm on Monday, February 20, the Art of Genius London Fashion Week presentation is billed as a “monumental” event that will involve Alicia Keys, Jay Z, Mercedes-Benz, Pharrell Williams and Rick Owens presenting fresh Moncler collaborations at Kensington Olympia. While the brand has not yet released a confirmed list of guests, it has confirmed that some of the co-creators will be in attendance.
The show celebrates Moncler Genius graduating from a fashion-focused project to a platform spanning art, design, entertainment, music, sport, and culture. Genius’ past five years have involved the likes of Simone Rocha, JW Anderson and Pierpaolo Piccioli putting their spin on the brand’s vision. However, 2023 is set to be packed with drops from leaders from a kaleidoscope of industries.
The power and potential of collaboration has always driven the project, but Moncler Genius is now seeking to evolve beyond the established concept of luxury brand collaboration. It is “entering a new phase of co-creation focused on human creative skill and imagination to make something each brand couldn’t achieve on its own”. Rick Owens is set to present the Moncler + Rick Owens collection on the night.
