Jade delights kids at school assembly
Popstar Samantha Jade delighted children at her former primary school in Lockridge with a surprise performance this morning.
Jade dropped in on the school assembly at Good Shepherd Catholic School and sang three of the songs that have made her a household name, opening with What You've Done To Me.
The students, from kindergarten to Year 6, raised the roof singing the refrain for her X-Factor victory single and Breakeven before Jade invited them to be her duet partner singing Up.
Jade is in Perth to be with her mother Jacquie, who is battling cancer.
The singer was accompanied to the school by her father, Kevin Gibbs.
Jade told the pupils she had fond memories of the school that had set her with values she would carry with her for life.
She attended Good Shepherd before going to high school at Hampton High School.
The school got behind its former student during her time on X-Factor in 2012, displaying posters and encouraging the local community to vote for her.
She had been invited to perform at the school's 30th anniversary last year but commitments in the eastern States meant the visit was postponed until today.
