Invaders conduct round-the-clock assaults - without success - near Avdiivka, says Army officer

Russian invaders continue to conduct round-the-clock assaults near Avdiivka without any significant success, officer Serhiy Tsekhotskyi of the Yakov Handzyuk 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade told Ukraine's Espresso TV.

"We are defending the frontline in the Avdiivka and Novopavlivka sectors," he said.

"The enemy is trying to storm and advance 24/7."

He was referring to the settlements of Netaylove, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, he clarified.

"The forces of the brigade unit hold the front line," he said.

"The enemy is being destroyed - there have been no significant successes."

The Defense Forces have been moved in some areas, which Tsekhovskyi noted are associated with the destruction of positions.

"That's why our personnel is assigned. It is measured in hundreds of meters, no more," he said.

"The enemy has aviation support (and) there is constant artillery shelling."

There is a large number of enemy UAVs in the sky, which affects the supply of ammunition and the movement of personnel, he said.

"That's why it has to be done at night," he said.

"We destroy the enemy by dozens every day."
