A Sydney couple have been charged with a string of armed robberies across the city’s southwest.
Eleanor Ashford and Sarah Canceri, both 23, faced Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday charged with three counts of robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
It’s alleged on Friday about 11:45pm the pair, armed with an axe and knives, stole money and cigarettes from a service station in Moorebank and fled the scene in a Mitsubishi Lancer.
Police said two women then threatened an employee at a separate Moorebank service station with knives and an axe before fleeing about half an hour later.
It’s further alleged at 1:15am on Saturday, the pair threatened an employee at an Edmondson Park service station before fleeing with cash.
The two were arrested, after being tracked by the Dog Unit, at Denham Court 15 minutes later.
Ashford and Canceri will face court again at a later date.
