Influencer, 22, is kicked out of mall for dressing 'too sexy'

An influencer who described Dubai as full of "gold and luxury" has been kicked out of one of the city's shopping malls for looking too sexy.

The Reality TV star named Emmy Russ, 22, from the German city of Hamburg, had earlier posted a message about the capital of the Emirate of Dubai, saying it was a "great country, so much luxury, everything in gold, it is as if made for me."

However, the 22-year-old who gained fame on reality TV shows such as Big Brother said she was shocked by an unpleasant experience during her recent holiday in the UAE.

The aspiring actress and model said she was stopped from entering a shopping mall by security guards who said that her fashion sense way too revealing for their standards.

Newspaper Bild reported that Russ had dressed up in a cropped glitter top and a mini skirt before going to the large Dubai shopping centre.

Russ argued her outfit was justified because the weather forecast was 41 degrees.

Russ said security employees refused to let her continue her shopping, telling her she was barely dressed.

"Suddenly a security employee came up completely out of breath and said I was too sexy, and I couldn't walk around like that," she posted on Instagram.

"They threatened me with the police. I was thrown outside and I received a written warning," she complained to her 186,000 Instagram followers.

The written warning the influencer received was a courtesy policy black card by the Dubai Mall indicating: "Please wear respectful clothing."

"Then I quickly bought a long T-shirt outside and put it on. According to my standards, I didn't think my outfit was too sexy. When I entered the country, a policeman even flirted with me at the airport," Russ added.

German media (TAG24) reported that this was not the first time that Russ was publicly criticised for her clothing, as she once even had to face the police after posing for a photo in a miniskirt while leaning on a patrol vehicle.

She then received a criminal complaint for leaving a dent on the car bonnet that caused several hundred euros in damage, although the charge was later dropped.
