Boy's parents reunited with son after he was found alone at carwash

UPDATE: The parents of a toddler found wandering around a carwash north of Brisbane have been found.

EARLIER: The search is on for the parents or carers of a little boy found at a carwash north of Brisbane.

The boy, believed to be three years old, was found at the carwash on Deception Bay Road at Rothwell about 7.10am on Saturday.

Extensive patrols to find anyone who knows the boy have failed, police said.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 100cm tall, and has blonde curly hair and blue eyes.

He is wearing Ninja Turtle shorts and a shirt with monsters on it.

The boy is currently with police and anyone who knows him or his caregivers is being urged to contact police immediately.
