Hunt for 'smelly' suspect after girl, 17, sexually assaulted


The hunt is on for a “smelly” man who allegedly assaulted a teenage girl southwest of Melbourne.

Investigators have been told a 17-year-old girl was walking along Cox Road near Grevillea Avenue in the Geelong suburb of Corio last Monday about 4.30pm when she was approached by a male stranger.

The man, who has been described as “smelly” and having an unkempt appearance, then sexually assaulted her.

He is thought to be aged in his early 30s and between 185cm and 190cm tall.

The suspect was wearing dark blue jeans, black sneakers and a red-checked shirt with a white T-shirt underneath.

A composite image has been released by police of a man they believe can assist with their investigation.
