“I woke up dizzy, vomiting, couldn’t walk, so I was rushed to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital,” Kiran Gupta, first place holder for Music 1 said.

Kiran had to change one of his pieces five days before the HSC but still came first in the state.

“I just couldn’t believe it. I was over the moon.”

He’s part of an exceptional class of 2018, with 127 students who came first in one or more subjects.

While Mathematics General 2 gave out the most first place certificates with 10 students coming equal.
