Mum's fury over topless booze-fueled picnic around Darwin park

A mother has taken to Facebook to vent her fury after two female tourists stripped down to only bikini bottoms for a boozy picnic in a Darwin park in front of children.

The Darwin woman posted an angry post on the: "Darwin Have a Whinge Facebook page", saying she did not have a problem with "boobs", but the women should not have stripped in a family setting.

She said the women had stripped down and were drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes in front of families at a the Howard Spring Nature Park in what she called “absolute bulls--t”.

“Coming down to Howard Springs with the kids and some other families to have a nice swim and some lunch,” she said in the now deleted post.

“Bit of a shame the tourist think they can do whatever they want and get ALMOST completely nude in front of everyone, drink a huge bottle of wine and smoke their cigarettes around the place”.

The local woman said she asked the pair to cover up due to there being children about, but claimed they laughed and ignored her.

The woman labelled their behaviour as “absolute bulls--t” and declared that there are "nudist beaches specially for these people".

Police confirmed that walking around topless was an offence and those engaging in it could be charged with offensive behaviour and receive a $432 fine, NT News reported.
