Police have claimed an injured man was dumped on a suburban street in Sydney to die as they charged a second man with his murder.

First responders discovered a severely injured man outside a home on Georgina Crescent in Melonba on Friday evening, following reports from community members.

Despite efforts from paramedics, the 32-year-old local man died at the scene with significant head and body injures.

Officers attending the scene were called to a vehicle collision nearby, where a 38-year-old man was arrested hiding in bushes.

On Saturday afternoon, he was charged with murder, according to a NSW Police spokesman.

Police will allege the vehicle was used to transported the deceased man’s body to Melonba, following a “pre-arranged fight” earlier the same evening.

“It’s further alleged the injured man was driven to a nearby street where he was left until he was found by the member of the public,” the spokesman said.

The accused killer was remanded into custody and is expected to appear in the Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.

He is believed to be in his 30s but is yet to be formally identified.

Images from the street on Saturday morning show blood pooled on the footpath, as officers in forensic suits photograph a taped-off home across the road.

Melonba is a new suburb, created in 2020, and about 51km north west of Sydney’s CBD.
