Sharon Stone Offers Counterpoint To Hollywood’s Panic About Biden Debate Performance
UPDATED with Stone comment: After an outpouring of concern from Hollywood notables prompted by Joe Biden’s performance in the first 2024 presidential debate, Sharon Stone offered a counterpoint today in a video she posted to Instagram.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about last night’s debate,” Stone says to the camera from the passenger seat of a car, “and I’ve been thinking about the fact that more women are registered to vote than any other singular group. So, ladies, remember this: No matter how sleepy Joe may have seemed, he’s wide awake for you. So vote, for yourself.”

The tenor is a far cry from the panic registered by many last night. More on that below.
PREVIOUSLY on Thursday night: It’s no secret that Hollywood is a largely liberal town. But the optimism that was flashed before Thursday night’s first 2024 presidential debate began has apparently given way to a largely glum outlook in the wake of the Joe Biden-Donald Trump battle.
A few of the early reactions:
As MAGA and pro America as I am…. I take no happiness in this debate. Biden is clearly not here. This is sad. Obama is sacrificing his friend to push his radical policies and I don't want any of us celebrating after this.
Yes Trump is clearly the better choice… but let’s take…— Roseanne Barr (@therealroseanne) June 28, 2024
Tonight will be remembered in the history books in one of two ways: as the moment adults in the room stepped up & convinced Biden to step aside. Or it will be remembered as the night Trump solidified his path back to the White House.

This reminds me of The West Wing, except for every episode.

Does @realDonaldTrump lose by winning tonight? Does this debate spur a switch to a stronger Dem with a better chance of beating Trump?

I love Joe Biden. I know he’s a good man. I know his heart is good. I know he’s dedicated to our country and is surrounded by good people. Tonight was heartbreaking in many ways. This is a big political moment. There’s panic in the Democratic party. It’s going to be a long night.

Biden’s staff has a lot of god damn explaining to do about all their “private meetings” and how incredible Biden is behind closed doors….
