Hollyoaks' Felix and Ste to struggle with guilt in road crash aftermath

Hollyoaks has teased both the prelude and aftermath of a road crash involving Ste Hay and Felix Westwood in an hour-long special.
The soap has confirmed familiar faces, including Theresa McQueen, and newbies, like West End star Iz Hesketh's mysterious character, will be impacted after Felix angrily confronts Mercedes and Warren while behind the wheel.
Ahead of the disaster, it looks like there may finally be happiness for Felix when he asks for Mercedes's hand in marriage and she accepts. Little does Felix know that Mercedes has cheated on him with Warren.
Warren is stunned to find out that Felix and Mercedes are planning to tie the knot that very day, causing him to ignore that son Joel is also planning to propose to Leela.
Felix asks Warren to be his best man, but given that he's also in love with Mercy, Warren tries to plant seeds that Felix may be moving too quickly to get married.
The conversation is interrupted by Rafe, who is planning to marry Sienna Blake as part of his scam with Dilly. Warren leaves Rafe's blood running cold by warning him not to hurt Sienna.
Meanwhile, Ella is looking for tips to win over ex-boyfriend Charlie and considers buying alcohol when she's spotted by Mercedes.
Viewers will remember that Ella knows about Mercy's affair with Warren, but has thus far kept quiet since she returned to the village.
This is where all of these stories collide – quite literally – in a dramatic road crash. First, Felix demands answers from his fiancée and best man after finding out Mercedes had an affair with an unknown man.
Meanwhile, there's an emotional split for two of the teens during a night of drinking, leading Ste to flee to Leah as she's found unconscious in a field. Following the crash, Ste is left wondering if he might be at fault since he was trying to stop Leah from choking at the time of the collision.
News spreads through the village about the crash, with numerous residents left wondering whether their loved ones have been hurt or killed.
Pearl is relieved to see Felix arriving back home, yet he's quickly in the firing line from Leela and the McQueens over what he's done.
Ste has to face tough questions as well when he's taken down to the Dee Valley Police Station to explain his version of events.
Whose lives will hang in the balance?
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
