Heavy Rainfall Leads to Flash Flooding in Huntsville, Alabama

Thunderstorms brought heavy rain and flash flooding to Huntsville, Alabama, on Thursday, May 18.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Huntsville and surrounding areas, alerting residents to the possibility of hail and wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour. “Very” heavy rainfall was expected and was already leading to flash flooding, they said.
