A devastated young nurse has recalled the harrowing moment she dragged her boyfriend's body from beneath the car that crushed him to death, revealing she "grabbed a jack, lifted it up" and "pulled him out" to desperately perform CPR on his dead body.

Nurse Shyanne Organ, 21, had just finished a call with partner Axle Young, 17, who was working under his Holden VR Commodore at the home the couple shared on Sunday, prior the tragic accident.

The two had recently moved into the property together, located in Mittagong in the NSW Southern Highlands. During the phone call, the couple were discussing Young's missing AirPods at about 1pm. It would be their final conversation.

Young was making some last-minute adjustments to the vehicle before he was due to take his P-plate test on Monday.

Just a few minutes after hanging up, Organ arrived home to find him pinned beneath the car, which had rolled off the ramps Young had used to lift it off the ground. She said despite knowing he was already "gone", she performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

"It just breaks my heart knowing not even a week ago we were talking about our first holiday and where it was going to be," she said of the pair's plans to visit Bali.

Organ described her late partner as an "amazing person" and promised to "do him proud".

"Axle took me under his wing and he gave me the love I was always searching for. He knew how to make me smile and he knew every little thing about me," Organ told the Daily Mail. "He was a boy who didn't know how to say no and he kept going and going until the job was done or his goal was achieved."

Young's sister Cheyenne describer her brother as someone "nobody will ever forget".

"My family and I were so beyond proud of how far he had come. He was the brightest young man and nobody will ever forget him," she said.

Young was two years into an apprenticeship with Southern Highlands Carpet Court when he died, the Daily Mail reported. His employer detailed Young's "patience, commitment and his beautiful nature [that] would always put a smile on everyone's face".

"At the young age of 17, you showed us how determined and passionate you are about your career and future," the employer said in a tribute.

A fundraiser campaign has been established to cover funeral costs, with the family quickly surpassing the financial target. Police said Young's death is not being treated as suspicious.
