A newlywed woman has died in her husband’s arms after suffering a brain aneurysm while the Australian couple were on their honeymoon in Europe.

Madison Noronha, from the NSW south coast, was with her husband Kyle when she collapsed in the street in Amsterdam on Wednesday from bleeding to her brain due to an aneurysm.

Mr Noronha said the young woman was rushed into “instant brain surgery” to remove pressure from the bleeding, but tragically died later that evening.

“The doctors could not believe the size of the aneurysm and nothing could prevent this from happening and nothing could be done to save her,” he wrote online.

“Madi fought like she always does right to the very end. She passed away in my arms surrounded by all her loved ones at 10:59pm here in Amsterdam.

“My darling wife, I cannot comprehend what has happened. I'm in a million pieces. Forever and always babe.”

The couple are understood to have tied only a month ago on April 21, with husband Kyle sharing photos online from their intimate and rural ceremony.

The new bride was remembered on Tuesday by the Australian Radio Network and Wave FM 96.5, where she worked as a campaign design specialist.

Co-worker Lyndal Rogers said staff received news of Ms Noronha’s death on Saturday morning and that their “hearts are truly shattered” by the loss.

“Early Saturday morning, our work family was rocked by the news that our beautiful friend Madison Noronha had passed away,” Ms Rogers said.

“She was on her honeymoon in Amsterdam and suffered a brain aneurysm while walking down the street. Her family have the difficult task of bringing her home.”

Ms Noronha had worked for the station for two years having studied communications at the UOW, where she was recognised for her academic performance.

A GoFundMe campaign has since been set up by Ms Noronha’s friends and colleagues to help bring her body home and to assist her family with funeral costs.

“We are all left heart broken, but can’t imagine the pain that Kyle and her immediate family are experiencing,” campaign organiser Taylah Wicks said.

“Madi’s parents have graciously agreed to let us create this page, to help raise money to ease the financial stress and burden during this difficult time.”

The campaign has so far raised almost $30,000 in less than 24 hours toward a goal of $50,000, with single donations ranging between $50 and $1000.
