Harrison Ford Says “Indiana Jones” Music Played in Room During His Colonoscopy: 'Follows Me Everywhere'

Harrison Ford can't escape his iconic roles.

The actor said in a new Variety profile about Oscar-winning composer John Williams that the famous Indiana Jones theme music was playing during a recent colonoscopy appointment he had.

“As I often remind John, his music follows me everywhere I go — literally. When I had my last colonoscopy, they were playing it on the operating room speakers," said Ford, 81.

Elsewhere in the article, Ford said he sometimes sits in as Williams works on his movie scores.

"It’s a delight to see him work with the orchestra — just the pleasure of being able to sit in a room and process the remarkable attention that each beat of the music gets. And their respect for him and his respect for them is just so much fun to watch," said the actor.

Williams is known for other iconic music from movies like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Home Alone, Jurassic Park, Jaws and more.

This year, Williams earned his 54th Oscar nomination (Best Original Score for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), breaking his own record as the most-nominated person alive.

Last year, Ford told PEOPLE, "I probably enjoy making movies more now than I ever did." He added, "No one ever believes this, but I never wanted to be rich and famous. I just wanted to be an actor."
