Hannah Spearritt swaps S Club for life as a farmer in Costa Rica
Former S Club star Hannah Spearritt has put her pop star days firmly behind her and taken up a new career as a farmer in Costa Rica.
The Reach hit-maker has now given an insight into her new life after making the move with her partner, Adam Thomas, and their two daughters, aged five and three.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a picture of her daughters enjoying a meal in their new surroundings.
So far the change appears to be agreeing with her with the one-time Dancing On Ice contestant writing in the accompanying caption: "Well... we finally made it to paradise. Beautiful country, beautiful people."
Her friends and fans rushed to wish her their best in the comments section.
“Good luck guys!! Look forward to visiting in the future. Love to the girls,” wrote one person, followed by two kisses.
"Big love to you all darling. Have the best adventure X,” remarked a second.
While a third put in: "That's great! Hope you and your family are well Hannah," alongside a love heart emoji.
Spearritt has suffered a number of personal setbacks in recent years, including experiencing homelessness and the failure of her café venture, Earth & Fire, in Twickenham, South West London, which never fully opened.
She was also left reeling following the sudden death of S Club bandmate and ex-boyfriend Paul Cattermole in April 2023.
It came just months after the pop group had announced plans to reunite for a tour to mark their 25th anniversary.
The tour still went ahead later that year, but minus Spearritt, with the official line being she had decided to no longer be involved.
According to her however, she was pushed out and relations with her other bandmembers soured as a result.
It’s no wonder therefore that she was seeking a change of scenery and Costa Rica it seems ticked all the right boxes.
A trip to the region in 2018 is said to have proved transformative and inspired the family to seek out a simpler lifestyle.
