Coeliac disease affects an average of 1 in 70 Australians — so Helen Tzouganatos is here with a recipe for gluten-free waffles to mark Coeliac Awareness Week!

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Woolworths Free From Gluten Self Raising Flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 tbs sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup melted butter or coconut oil

  • 1 cup milk of your choice (I like to use Macro Almond Milk)

Conventional Method

  1. Sift dry ingredients together.

  2. Add egg, milk and butter or oil to dry ingredients and stir to combine.

  3. Pour batter into waffle maker.

Thermomix Method

  1. Add dry ingredients to Thermomix and blend 3 sec/speed 4.

  2. Add egg, milk and butter or oil and mix 10 sec/speed 4.

  3. Pour batter into waffle maker.
