Freya Allan is currently mixing it up with apes on the big screen, but she had to battle a very different threat earlier in the year.

Baghead sees Allan play Iris who, following the death of her father, inherits a run-down pub and discovers a dark secret in its basement: Baghead, a creature that will let you speak to your dead loved ones – at a cost.

If you missed it at the cinema, Baghead is now available to watch on Netflix on the UK and Ireland after it was added to the streaming service today (June 26).

Get the popcorn ready and see whether you think Baghead deserves to be considered one of the best horror movies on Netflix.

Directed by Alberto Corredor, Baghead also stars Ruby Barker, Peter Mullan, Saffron Burrows and Julika Jenkins.

It's not available to watch in the US on Netflix, but you can buy or rent it from Prime Video, as well as watch it as part of your AMC+ or Shudder subscription in the US.

In the UK, you can also buy Baghead on DVD or Blu-ray, as well as rent or buy it digitally from Prime Video and iTunes.

We'll next be seeing Freya Allan in The Witcher season four and she admitted earlier this year that she wasn't exactly looking forward to returning.

"I was dreading it for a while if I'm honest, but now I'm on it and we have thank god a great director starting us off which has made it so much fun," she recalled. "There's so much great stuff to play. I'm actually quite happy".

She's also already filmed her next lead movie role in sci-fi thriller Triton alongside Josh Whitehouse and Raff Law.
