Four killed in Lidl supermarket plane crash in Portugal
A light plane has crashed into a supermarket carpark in Portugal, killing all four on board.
The plane was carrying four people when it reportedly exploded in mid-air, according to rescue workers.
It crashed in Tires near the coastal town of Cascais.
It’s reported several vehicle have caught fire after the light plane landed on a lorry which was unloading in the Lidl supermarket carpark.
Footage shows a large amount of black smoke in the area.
One woman said on Twitter: "A plane just fell all around us. I saw the plane going down!!"
"After they called the Fire Department and I think it fell more or less on top of the Lidl."
Local media reports the victims as the pilot and three passengers.
